This is the All New Yamaha R15 2017 Edition
New product from Yamaha Indonesia, to compete with Honda CBR150RR and Suzuki GSX150R
Head Lamp R15
All New Yamaha R15 use new LED head lamp with keen eyes look design. This sharper headlamp design mix perfectly with the sharp windshield and a fake air scoop just like motoGP bike design.
Tail Lamp R15
Tail lamp also using LED and adopt the design from its big brother, Yamaha YZF R1 2017.
R Series Design on All New Yamaha R15
Fuel tank cover have a shark fin detail on each side, confirm that this is a small super bike, also adopt Yamaha M1 design.
Speedometer Console Yamaha R15
Full digital speedometer, complete with many indicator such as gear position and shift timing light
Frame Yamaha All New R15
Yamaha still using old frame, deltabox model and aluminium asymmetric swingarm
Rear suspension using linked model, shockbreaker without external gas tube.
Upside Down Suspension Yamaha All New R15
Although not a new in its class, Yamaha applied upside down type of suspension in this model.
It will help to get a better handling.
Disc Brake Yamaha All New R15
Disc brake is a fixed disc, not a floating type, also the caliper still using lateral instead of radial model.
Yamaha All New R15 new Engine
New engine now is 155cc 4 valves SOHC, bigger 5cc from the predecessor, and using Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) to increase air mixture on high rpm, VVA will active on around 7000RPM or more.
Engine material still using forged piston and diacyl cylinder, Yamaha claim this composition will stronger 3 times than regular material.
Slipper Clutch Yamaha R15
Yamaha applied slipper clutch to increase riding experience and to decrease engine brake when you shift down suddenly.
Wide Tire Yamaha All New R15
Now with wider 140mm rear tire and 100mm front tire, to make sure proportion of the big bike look.
New safety standard, hazard lamp.
Color Option Yamaha All New R15 2017
Standard color is Blue-White with blue rims, Black Doff with black and red strip rims, and Red White with black rims.
We believe soon Yamaha will announce Movistar Yamaha livery for this bike.
Specification Yamaha All New R15 2017
weight only 137 kg, with seat height 81,5 cm.
Power claimed 19 ps on crank, with top speed around 140 Kmh on 6th gear.
On January 2017, Maverick Vinales launched this bike in Indoensia, and soon will be sell in other country as well.
Pricing around USD 2,700 to 3,000.
